S/V TOUCAN Documented as ON 1302433

TOUCAN is a Catalina 28 MKii with a white hull and blue accent. She is wheel steered with autopilot and has a 29-Hp Universal (Westerbeke) marine diesel auxiliary engine. She has a range of about 225 miles under power and unlimited under sail (main, 135% roller-furling genoa and an asymmetric spinnaker) .

She sleeps a couple in forward V-birth, 2 singles on the saloon benches and a couple in the aft owners cabin. She has a 2-burner propane stove and propane oven. She carries 49 gallons of potable water in two tanks and 19 gallons of fuel for the diesel auxiliary with a three bladed prop. She has a pressurized hot and cold water system at the galley sink, in the head compartment (basin & Shower) and on the aft swim platform. The 6-gallon water heater has an engine heat exchanger and a 120V AC heating element.

Her AC electrical power panel, to port, has 120V AC Shore power for: Outlets, Water heater, 3-way Battery charger and Accessory outlets.

Her 12V DC house power is supplied by a deep-cycle batterie through a 1, 2, both switch and has service for Windless, LP Gas Valve. Stereo, Cabin lights, Running lights, Nav/Com, Deck light, Anchor light, Accessory, GPS, Pilot, Macerator pump, Water press / shower pump and bilge pump.

Battery power and tank levels are monitored just below the switch panel.

In saloon navigation is provided by a Raspberry Pi 4B with 8 Gigs of memory and 32 Gigs of storage in a Vilros keyboard enclosure running OpenCPN and uses our 14″ TV as a monitor while moving.
